RESTORATION AT SCULLION STONEMASONARY
At Scullion Stonemasonry we work with the restoration and conservation of pre 1919 buildings. We have worked on historic buildings; accurately recreating its form, features and character as it appeared at a particular time, while protecting it’s heritage value.
Being one of the first stonemasons to be qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Heritage Stonemasonry within Northern Ireland, we understand the importance of using the correct principles of heritage and conservation when working on old buildings.
We have great experience in the use of traditional lime mortars and traditional building techniques, complying with heritage standards.
OUR RESTORATION PROJECTS
Below are some images of the famous Art Centre in New Zealand which we have had the privilege to work on and share skills with stonemasons from all around the world. It has now been fully restored for future Generations.
Closer to home, we have worked on some well-known landmarks – Carrickfergus Castle, City of Londonderry Walls, Ballaghy Bawn, Hillsborough Court House, just to name a few.
